MEET DR. THEODORE GIALANELLA
Dr. Gialanella completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. While attending Holy Cross he was a four year varsity letter winner on the football team. After graduating from Holy Cross he attended New York University College of Dentistry where he received his DDS degree.
Upon his graduation from NYU, Dr. Gialanella completed a general practice residency program at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York. During residency he gained valuable experience in the areas of endodontics, oral surgery, implant dentistry, orthodontics, prosthodontics, periodontal surgery, full mouth rehabilitations, treatment of medically compromised patients, nitrous oxide analgesia, general anesthesia, emergency medicine, TMJ therapy, pediatrics and special needs dentistry.
Dr. Gialanella has completed Level II of the Orognathic Bioesthetic Institute continuing education course of study. This training allows him to better diagnose and treat patients in need of complex dental restorations including patients with TMJ issues and bite scheme problems. He has completed continuing education courses on Invisalign orthodontic treatment and is Invisalign certified. He has also trained at the prestigious Schuster Center for Professional Development.
Dr. Gialanella currently serves as Vice President of the Third District Dental Society. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, New York State Dental Association, Holy Cross Club of Eastern New York and The American Italian Heritage Association. He is an active member in the Capital District Continuum for Advanced Dental Education, a local study group affiliated with the Seattle Study Club. He supports several local charities including The Thomas Patrick Morrison Foundation and has lectured both locally and regionally for the Sjögrens Syndrome Foundation and the Scleroderma Foundation.
Dr. Gialanella currently resides in East Greenbush with his wife Holly and his daughter Grace.
